Bookmarklet Combiner and Bookmarklets I Can’t Live Without
I am a bookmarklets lover. Unlike extensions, bookmarklets do not use any memory or CPU usage except you use them. Also, they can be used when using a browser without extensions, like Camino or Opera, and this makes switch between browsers much easier.
I used to use Blummy as a bookmarklets collector, but it has some disadvantages, such as loading speed is a little bit slow, and adding a bookmarklet is not very convenient. So I dropped it for a long time.
Recently I found Bookmarklet Combiner, and it’s really what I want. The layout is simple but organized, and adding a bookmarklet is quite easy.
You can find my bookmarklets at here. One thing has to mention is the “WebCite® this page” is user sensitive. So don’t copy this one directly.
The details of the bookmarklets is right below (Every first link is a bookmarklet, so if you want to use it, drag it to the bookmark bar of your browser):
- Read Later: Save the page to Instapaper.
- Readability: From Readability. Hard to read any long article without it.
- Add to Delicious: Save the page to Delicious.
- Share on Twitter: Share the page to Twitter.
- Share on Tumblr: Share the page to Tumblr.
- Re-Reader: From Re-Reader. Change your Google Reader to Readability style. Their are also an userscript and an userstyle version.
- Clip to Evernote: Clip the page to Evernote.
- WebCite® this page: Use WebCite to save the page.
- Make.text: From Make.text. Change the page to Markdown syntax.
- Aardvark: From Aardvark. Use it to remove useless contents and then use Make.text or Clip to Evernote.
- PrintWhatYouLike: From PrintWhatYouLike. Remove useless contents, change the font size and print.
